Self Storage Association introduces “SSA Cares: Storage Aid for our Communities”
Supporting Readiness for Healthcare & Emergency Responders
During the pandemic crisis, the national Self Storage Association has heard from a number of members looking to help their communities as they face these overwhelming challenges. SSA Cares will act as a hub to help volunteer self storage groups across the country donate vacant units to aid responders, health care groups and volunteer organizations directly involved in responding to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Frontline emergency and healthcare organizations are looking for participating facilities that might help fill healthcare and emergency readiness storage needs, such as supplies and equipment, over the next 60-to-90 days.
“Throughout the country, members of our communities are committing their resources to help meet a broad scope of critical needs,” said SSA President & CEO Tim Dietz. “Our expertise lies in real estate and, specifically, properties well-positioned to help with last-mile readiness.”
When organizations needing support contact the SSA, we will work to connect them with members throughout the country offering to volunteer spaces. Facilities interested in participating can fill out the SSA Cares Program enrollment form HERE
